PUEBLO, CO- The Pueblo Chemical Depot Police Department recently purchased 5 WOLFCOM 3RD EYE Police Body Cameras. The purchase included mounts and radio cables so the officers can utilize the cameras radio microphone feature.
“We make our body cameras for use by many different law enforcement and military organizations. We’re happy to provide the latest in police body camera technology for the officers of the Pueblo Chemical Depot Police Department. This department chose the WOLFCOM 3RD EYE for its features and ease of use. We know the 3RD EYE will serve them well!” said WOLFCOM Founder Peter Austin Onruang.
Officer Harly Kile did the research for his department. “With everything going on in the news with law enforcement agencies, we thought police body cameras would be good to have… I looked at a few different police body cameras online and eventually found theWOLFCOM website and got a lot of good information from there. We liked that you could hook them up to your radio and replace your lapel microphone… that it has GPS and is easy to use… but most of all the cost was great!” said Kile.
The department has 5 police officers and so far they like the WOLFCOM 3RD EYES. “They like that they’re easy to use and that you’re able to use them to take still pictures… that one button operation on the side. They really like the quality of the video,” said Kile.
The department is still finalizing its police body camera policy before deploying them in the field. Their goal is to protect against officer liability and reduce complaints. “They will likely have to be on during traffic stops and any questionable situations our police officers respond to. The camera is that third party view that will record the truth, hopefully they’ll be helpful in reducing complaints,” said Kile.
