“We’re happy to be able to offer the latest in police body camera technology to the Breckenridge Police Department. We at WOLFCOM work hard to design and manufacture our cameras with the durability, outstanding HD quality video, and user friendly features this department appreciates and made them choose to use our WOLFCOM cameras. At WOLFCOM we manufacture the best, because cops deserve the best,” said WOLFCOM Founder Peter Austin Onruang.
Chief Larry Mahan says his department has used police body cameras for years. “We had a situation several years ago where one of our police officers had purchased his own body camera and was attacked by a suspect. We had the whole thing on video, so I made the decision based on that incident, to get body cameras for the whole department,” said Mahan.
“We’ve had body cameras for years, but they were the cheap ones. We needed to upgrade. Some of our officers had purchased WOLFCOM police body cameras on their own, so we knew of them, but those were the ones with the microphone [WOLFCOM 3RD EYES] and they don’t manufacture the right cable for it to work with our radios, so we went with the VISIONS,” said Mahan.
“The WOLFCOM video quality is in Hi Def and is much clearer than the previous body cameras we were using. Our police officers like that the WOLFCOM police body cameras vibrate when you start recording so you know they’re on and working. The previous cameras couldn’t stand up to the rough treatment our officers put them through and they were constantly breaking… so far the WOLFCOM cameras are working out so far so good,” said Mahan.
“We’ve had a few complaint situations where people would come in making claims [against our officers]… then we look at the video and see it didn’t happen as they claim, so they’ve been a lot more help than any hurt,” said Mahan.
